Analyst: Mueller strategy statement near

JP Morgan analyst Jonathan Chaplin said in a research note he expects Qwest CEO Edward Mueller to announce his long-awaited strategic plan within the next few days. Chaplin also expects Mueller to announce a Qwest dividend of about 29 cents per share.

Qwest hasn't said anything about either issue yet, but Mueller has said previously he would announce his new strategic plan by the end of this year, and we're getting pretty close. Regarding the dividend, many investors and many company watchers have been anticipating news of Qwest's first dividend in five years for several months, but so far have been disappointed.
