AT&T gets$270 million Networx deal

AT&T, after completing federal government testing this month that allowed it to begin accepting contracts under the Networx Universal program, has landed its first Networx deal from the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Right now, the job ahead for AT&T is to build a $270 million IP network, but the value of the deal could rise if the carrier sells additional capabilities, like remote networking. Or how about a few iPhones?
