AT&T U-verse adds HD channels

AT&T has several new additions in store for its U-verse TV channel line-up. The carry next week will offer two new high-definition channels, as well as the new standard-definition Fox Business Network (featuring former Hewlett-Packard chief and Lucent exec Carly Fiorina as a frequent commentator). The carrier also said it is expanding ethnic programming options.

Some of these moves are slightly ahead of schedule, and it's good to see telcos keeping their edge against the cable TV incumbents.
