BT, Golden Telecom partner

U.K. telco giant BT has signed a backbone agreement with Russian upstart Golden Telecom that will allow BT to broaden its services in Russia, and let Golden Telecom customers use Bat's far-reaching backbone. As significant as this move is for BT, in allowing it to tap more of Russia's massive customer base, it's another sign that aggressive Golden Telecom is a force to be acknowledged on the global stage.
