Cablevision taps into the Wi-Fi calling trend

Cablevision (NYSE: CVC) is taking on the emerging Wi-Fi voice service trend. According to a FierceCable report, the cable MSO will offer the service for $9.95 a month with no contract for current Cablevision broadband customers and $29.95 for non-customers. Set to be available in early February, the Freewheel service will only have one device--the Motorola Moto G--and will work anywhere Wi-Fi is accessible. Read more
