Canoe Ventures, the joint venture founded in 2008 by Comcast (NASDAQ: CMCSA), Cox Communications, Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC) and Bright House Networks, appears to be finding success through its focus on providing dynamic ad insertion (DAI) for cable's video-on-demand services. Despite seeing the majority of its staff being cut in 2012, Canoe has found its stride in the DAI market, reporting that in April it served up 2.56 billion impressions.

Dan Frankel, editor of FierceCable, recently caught up with Chris Pizzurro, head of Product Sales & Marketing at Canoe Ventures, to talk about how it's enabling cable operators to leverage DAI for their video-on-demand services.
