Carrier Ethernet certification by MEF gains popularity

With over 84 MEF certified vendors offering over 850 certified devices, and 63 certified service providers offering over 250 Carrier Ethernet services, it's clear that the Carrier Ethernet opportunity can't be passed up.

To capitalize on this growth, the Metro Ethernet Forum created the MEF-CECP (MEF Carrier Ethernet Certified Professional) program, one which as of December 2011 passed 100 certified candidates. Daniel Bar-Lev, Director of Certification Programs for MEF, describes the program here.

In tandem with the MEF-CECP's milestone, FierceTelecom is holding a webinar today at 1 pm ET: MEF-CECP Professional Certification: Calling All Carrier Ethernet Experts! Register to listen in to today's webinar and learn more about the program.
