CenturyLink becomes latest phishing hole

If you're a CenturyLink subscriber be aware that when you log in to the ILEC's customer portal you might actually be logging into a phishing attacker's website that's looking to steal your personal information. An eWeek article cited new evidence unearthed by Trend Micro's TrendLabs group researchers that phishing attackers are targeting CenturyLink subscribers.

What led researchers to issue this warning was that they saw a number of fake yet realistic looking CenturyLink online customer portals on the web last week. Victims of this latest phishing scheme are at risk of having their personal information--including their credit card account information--taken by the phisher.
