CenturyLink using IPTV to gain and regain customers

IPTV, as part of a triple play package, is not only plucking customers away from cable competitors but actually bringing former customers back into the fold, CenturyLink (NYSE: CTL) is finding. The company's Prism TV service, already credited as a bright spot for the wireline telco, is leveraging the advanced IP-enabled features such as a popular wireless set-top box to actively compete with incumbent cable providers across both CenturyLink's networks and, most recently, legacy Qwest franchise areas the company has acquired.
