CENX brings aboard telecom veteran Dominick DeAngelo

Herb Hribar continues to make his mark on CENX's management team, appointing Dominick DeAngelo as Senior Vice President of Marketing & Strategic Sales.

The Ethernet exchange provider said that DeAngelo help them sharpen their focus on the Ethernet-based wireless backhaul and global Ethernet interconnection segments.

A 35-year telecom industry veteran, he held a number of roles at a number of competitive and incumbent service providers, including Broadwing (now Level 3 (Nasdaq: LVLT)) and Sprint (NYSE: S).

One of the key elements that DeAngelo brings to the table is his ability to oversee complex business and product strategies.

During his tenure as Vice President, Voice and Data Network Services, Internet/Intranet Business Services, he oversaw the business Internet/Intranet strategic, tactical and implementation plans for Sprint domestic's fully managed IP service and developing Sprint's CPE strategy.

While the Ethernet exchange concept is arguably still in a nascent yet growing stage, CENX's ability to attract executives like DeAngelo who understand the operational elements of various service provider types will help the company more effectively target complex opportunities like wireless backhaul.
