Chesonis urges CLECs to love one another

Giving the keynote speech at Comptel in Nashville yesterday, Paetec Holding Corp Chairman and CEO Arunas A. Chesonis told the Comptel audience that CLECs need to work together more often. Chesonis said the competitive carrier community is still too dependent on incumbent operators, perhaps a holdover practice from years ago when it seemed every market was literally packed with CLECs.

Chesonis' comments come as Paetec is growing through M&A, which could enhance its ability to be a fair seller of network services in some markets, as well as a new buyer of services in others.
