Huawei may be motivated to become a major global telecom vendor, but security concerns continue to hold them back.
To address the security concerns of other international countries, Huawei has built a security center in Britain to test and examine its products and software. At this center, service providers could test the ability of Huawei's hardware and software to withstand cybersecurity threats.
The opening of the new center comes not long after the Chinese-based vendor was excluded from a potentially lucrative multi-billion-dollar network modernization project with Sprint (NYSE: S).
