Comcast scales X1 service across 25% of its video footprint

Comcast (NASDAQ: CMCSA) is expanding the reach of its X1 video service, deploying 40,000 X1 boxes a day, an initiative that has helped it scale the service across 25 percent of its footprint during the third quarter.

During its third-quarter earnings call, Comcast credited X1 with significantly reducing its video subscriber churn.
