FairPoint Communications says it plans to hire about 100 new sales and sales support positions throughout its service area in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.
The company is looking for experienced sales representatives to service the small and medium-sized business market in northern New England. Open positions include account executive, account manager, sales manager and sales support consultant. Half the new employees will be placed in Maine.
Since acquiring Verizon's landline operations in the region, FairPoint says it has added about 1,000 new jobs.
