Frost & Sullivan cites 8x8's cloud and contact center expertise

Frost & Sullivan has singled out 8x8's hosted IP telephone and Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) services for its 2014 North America Award for Customer Value Leadership, the two entities said in a press release.

"By providing a one-stop shop for a broad set of capabilities, 8x8 enables business customers to eliminate the cost and hassles associated with deploying, integrating and managing disparate multi-vendor technologies," Frost & Sullivan Program Director Elka Popova said in the press release. "It allows customers to consolidate vendor relationships and thus realize operational efficiencies related to vendor management, service provisioning, billing and upgrades."

The award came after Frost & Sullivan analyzed industry-wide hosted IP telephony and UCC services. Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Awards recognize companies' outstanding achievement and superior performance in leaders, technological innovation, customer service and strategic product development. Analysts compare market participants and measure performance through in-depth interviews and secondary research, the press release continued.

"8x8 boards automated service provisioning for very small businesses and high-touch sales and technical support for larger organizations," Popova said. "Its well-trained direct sales staff, growing channel and a broad, yet modular services portfolio position it to win business from organizations of various sizes across industries and geographical locations."

8x8 said it is one of the top two hosted IP telephony and UCC service providers in North America in terms of installed uses and revenues with an installed base of 361,000 IP telephony and UCC users as of 2013.
