FTTH links hit 2 million

U.S. FTTH connections top 2 million
Fiber-to-the-home network penetration and subscriber sign-up still is moving far more quickly in other countries than it is in the United States, but at this week's FTTH Conference in Orlando, Render Vanderslice and Associates reported that U.S. FTTH connections had passed the 2 million mark. FTTH connections are currently growing at a 112 percent rate, but the total number of U.S. homes passed by the fiber is more than 9.5 million, so FTTH connections still have a ways to go.
