Genband hypes reseller deal with Verscom

Genband, the IP networking vendor, will be at Supercomm 2009 this week talking about its new "Master Reseller" arrangement with Verscom Managed Services, a wholesale provider serving the Europe, middle East and Africa region. The companies have just announced a new development program focusing on transitioning Genband customers to reseller Verscom. Under the agreement Verscom will also be managing other resellers for Genband.

Genband was busy last year making new acquisitions, like NextPoint, while divesting itself of other products from the older acquisitions of Vocaldata and Taqua. The reseller arrangement with Verscom appears to be a step toward changing the way U.S.-based Genband has done business in far-reaching markets.

Genband is also busy this week serving on a transcoding panel and an LTE voice panel at Supercomm 2009, while also celebrating its 10th anniversary as a company.
