Integra Telecom brings aboard Level 3 vet Joe Harding

As Integra Telecom expands its focus on larger business customers, it has brought on yet another Level 3 Communications (NYSE: LVLT) executive to take charge of its growing service portfolio by appointing Joe Harding as the senior vice president of product management and development.

An 18-year telecom industry veteran, Harding spent the last 13 years of his career working at Level 3, including most recently as VP of product development.

Harding will be able to apply his product development skills to help Integra expand, in particular, its Ethernet service, including both fiber and copper-based Ethernet services and managed network security products.

In his new role, Harding will oversee the service provider's product management, development and marketing strategy as it seeks to move up-market into larger business accounts.

Harding's appointment comes not long after Kevin O'Hara, another fellow Level 3 executive, assumed the executive chairman role at Integra following the departure of CEO Tom Casey.
