John Lazar takes back his CEO post at Metaswitch

John Lazar is going to return to his CEO post at Metaswitch, replacing former Redback Networks veteran Kevin DeNuccio.

DeNuccio, appointed as Metaswitch's CEO in February 2010, will continue to assess strategic initiatives that will complement Metaswitch's core business plan and product portfolio.

Metaswitch did not reveal why DeNuccio is stepping down from his CEO post or what his plans are.

Lazar, who had served as Metaswitch's board chairman, and DeNuccio will both retain seats on the company's board of directors.

Prior to becoming CEO in 2010 and then board chairman, one of Lazar's notable accomplishments at Metaswitch was that he was part of the team that developed its carrier division in 2000.
