K.C. informational picket on AT&T Thursday

As of Tuesday afternoon, there were almost 200 comments attached to our post from last week about the Communications Workers of America union getting membership authorization to call a strike on AT&T. Several union contracts expire this Saturday, and if all those comments are any indication, the atmosphere surrounding these contract negotiations has been submerged in more bad blood that the union contract disputes Verizon and Qwest had to work their way through last year.

On what is perhaps a more civilized note, Kansas City area employees plan to hold an informational picketing session against AT&T this Thursday at the local company office building in downtown Kansas City, Mo., according to The Kansas City Star. About 3,000 local employees are affected by the ongoing negotiations
