Mediacom sets foundation to deliver 1 Gig services in Missouri

Mediacom has put the network elements together to deliver a gigabit-speed broadband service throughout its Columbia and Jefferson City markets in Missouri. 

By leveraging Casa Systems' C100G converged cable access platform (CCAP), Mediacom will be able to deliver a mix of voice, video and data services over one platform. Being a traditional cable operator, the platform provides a path DOCSIS 3.1 to enable it to deliver 1 Gbps via its existing hybrid fiber coax (HFC) plant.
