MegaPath is serving up a suite of cloud-based Hosted Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) Exchange and Hosted Microsoft SharePoint services.
Developed with both the SMB and enterprise customer in mind, the new service suite is part of MegaPath's Complete Office solution.
The Hosted Microsoft Exchange product enables businesses to put its e-mail system in the cloud, while Hosted Microsoft SharePoint offers collaboration and content management capabilities that can be accessed from a PC or a mobile device.
While the adoption of cloud-based services is still arguably nascent, the value for any business is that they can divert the cost and time of managing non essential functions like email to a service provider like MegaPath so they can focus on their respective core business.
MegaPath's new cloud-based service suite comes at a time when the service provider is in an ongoing expansion mode. These new cloud services could be served up as part of a broader bundle that could incorporate its VoIP services and its growing Ethernet over Copper (EoC) footprint.
