MRV names telecom veteran David Stehlin as its new SVP of sales and marketing

David Stehlin, who is best known in the telecom industry for his work at Overture Networks and Ceterus Networks, has joined MRV Optical Communications (OCS) unit as their new Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Reporting directly to Barry Gorsun, President of MRV OCS, Stehlin will oversee MRV OCS' global sales and marketing functions.

Stehlin's appointment comes not long after he parted ways with Overture Networks following its purchase of the former Hatteras Networks where that company's CEO Kevin Sheehan became president of the new company.

Before his stint at Overture, Stehlin was the CEO and president of Ceterus Networks from 2003 to 2008, where he led the sale of the company to Overture Networks and became the company's President.
