Vitals: This Lexington, Mass.-based firm was founded in 2002, and has CLEC operations in every state. It has wholesale contracts with at least 22 major carriers, including a long-term unbundled network element and resale contract with Verizon Communications. It manages 60,000 line equivalents, and has recorded 15 straight profitable quarters.
Why you should care: New Horizon announced at Comptel in Nashville this week that it is outsourcing its business assurance services to Vertek in order to realize better efficiency and bottom line costs for its billing operations.
