NFL and NBA teams put ADARA's software through its paces for production use cases

ADARA announced on Friday that it's working with the NFL's New Orleans Saints and the NBA's New Orleans Pelicans on evaluating production use cases for its software.

The decision to evaluate production use cases came in the wake of the Saints and Pelicans participating in a real-time demonstration of ADARA's cloud software over extended infrastructure in Amazon Web Services Public Cloud.

"ADARA showed us the services and applications speed increased by a thousand times," said Jody Barbier, director of IT operations for the Saints, in a statement.  "That is a dramatic improvement in performance, speed and reduced latency. We are looking forward to using the software and seeing how it can be leveraged to the fullest degree possible."

ADARA is providing the Saints and Pelicans with its performance-based cloud software in both its cloud-based platform and its mobile SD-WAN client platform, along with tech support.

ADARA is an Advanced Technology Partner in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network (APN). ADARA's SD-WAN is available on AWS Marketplace, which means AWS customers can order and deploy ADARA's intent-based SD-WAN routers directly through AWS Marketplace. In addition, the entire ADARA software-defined networking and cloud platform can be distributed via AWS.

Last year, ADARA announced it had combined its SD-WAN products, previously known as SD-WAN Proxy and SD-WAN Router on AWS Marketplace, onto a single virtual network function (VNF).

By combining the two SD-WAN products onto a single VNF, ADARA said it had reduced the complexity of deployments on AWS Public Cloud platform, OpenStack Cloud platforms and hypervisors. The on-premise deployment model supports "any and all deployment options," according to ADARA.

The VNF is fully automated with AWS Cloud Foundation in AWS and ADARA outside of the public cloud. The VNF also increased the ability to deploy ADARA SD-WAN, and use AWS Public Cloud tools for orchestration, monitoring, analytics, and management.
