Network functions virtualization (NFV) may be the latest buzzword in telecom, but according to a new survey by telecom equipment vendor Dialogic it could provide them with a host of opex and capex savings. Although only 12 service providers took part in the survey, 70 percent of the respondents said they expect NFV will make them more operationally efficient, while 67 percent indicated NFV projects are a better way to invest capital.
