NSN maintains balance between PBT, MPLS

The emergence of provider backbone transport mostly has drawn a line between vendors that are supporting it early and those who are still favoring multi-protocol label switching and not supporting PBT at all, at least not yet. Nokia Siemens Networks is one vendor that seems to be straddling that line, supporting both MPLS and PBT, but not going too far in either direction and alienating one camp of carriers or another in the process. NSN has a significant PBT deal with BT, but a company official told Light Reading Europe that NSN also remains tight with MPLS player Juniper Networks.
