Insight Research, in an exclusive story by Telephony, says OSS spending by service providers will surge from $42 billion last year to $63 billion in 2012. That 2012 figure is double Insight's prediction from a report it published in 2005, and reflects overall improved software revenue growth, more stable carrier revenue and opportunities like OSS integration and unified billing to support new services.
