Russian broadband good as Golden

Russia's Golden Telecom has fast become one of the world's major telecom carriers. The company and its subsidiary, Corbina Telecom, are ahead of their original schedule to roll fiber out to 7.9 million Russian households by the end of this year. They are now planning to reach about 11.6 million households by the closing of 2007. Golden Telecom has IPTV available in Moscow, and will soon expand the service to other markets.
