Shakeup at Russia's Svyazinvest as Yurchenko steps down; 'Don't get Googled,' new report warns

> Chief executive of Russian state telecoms holding Svyazinvest, Yevgeny Yurchenko, has resigned the position due to a conflict with the management of Rostelecom, a unit of Svyazinvest, Reuters reports. Yurchenko was leading the holding company through a restructuring process that will include merging Rostelecom (NYSE: ROS) with seven regional telecom entities. Possibly stepping into the position? Leonid Reiman, a telecom industry veteran who resigned as a presidential adviser on Friday. Story.

> Meantime, Nokia's (NYSE: NOK) board of directors has appointed Stephen Elop president and chief executive officer, effective Sept. 21. Elop comes to the company from Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT), where he heads the Business Division. Current Nokia president and CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo will step down on the 20th but remains on the board of Nokia-Siemens Networks. News release.
