SLIDESHOW: Visiting ADTRAN - Network and apps level testing

You look at the 1U device stuck in your closet, and you take it for granted.

However, a large number of developmental tests and refinements take place before a device is built and shipped.

FierceTelecom got a behind-the-scenes look last week at ADTRAN's process of building devices, starting at the physical testing labs and moving through the network and applications testing facilities.

Finally, we got a look at the low-rate production line operated in Huntsville; ADTRAN builds about 30 percent of its products in-house.

Our slideshow for the network and apps layer testing labs is here. If you missed them, the physical testing lab slideshow is here while the assembly line walk-through is here.
