BT started 2007 as a telco that many were looking to as a pioneer in IP networking and Web-influenced service delivery, but it finished the year financially hampered and under increasing competitive pressure.
While the company said during its earnings report this week that the timing of its 21st Century Network rollout will be adjusted to respond to customer demand, the carrier also said it has a number of new services ready to launch this year and many others under development with companies using BT's now-open service development kit.
