The cable TV industry has been fighting a Federal Communications Commission ban on striking exclusive cable TV contracts with owners of multi-dwelling unit buildings. Now, it is likely the FCC also will ban exclusive telephone and data contracts for residential MDUs. The FCC restricted exclusive phone and data contracts with owners of commercial buildings back in 2000.
