The IMS Forum announced preliminary results of its fourth IMS plugfest, which focused on business support system functions such as billing and charging. Enabling the new seamless multimedia services of IMS is one challenge, but being able to accurately track and bill for those services across multiple network environments is the necessary challenge to overcome for commercial IMS implementation.
