SPOTLIGHT: Qwest's Poll on PBT, VDSL2, hair dryers

Telephony has published the second part of its two-part interview with Qwest Communications CTO Pieter Poll, following an initial installment in which Poll talked about fixed-mobile convergence, femtocells and other issues. This time around, Poll talks about provider backbone transport and why Qwest currently has no PBT plans even though it finds PBT a bit intriguing. Poll also says VDSL2 is 2009 consideration, and explains what hair dryers have to do with telecom network power consumption.
