SPOTLIGHT: Swisscom tussles with IPTV


Swisscom reported as part of its third-quarter earnings that it now has about 60,000 customers for its domestic Bluewin IPTV service and is looking toward signing up about 80,000 by the end of this year. However, the company also acknowledged that it is still fighting an up-hill battle to meet customers' quality expectations.

The carrier also said it third-quarter earnings will helped by a revenue boost following the acquisition of FastWeb, Italy's telco TV pioneer.
