SPOTLIGHT: Verizon wins India rights


Verizon Business has earned national and international long-distance licenses allowing it to compete in the burgeoning India telecom market. Verizon Business India has a joint venture with Indian conglomerate Videocon, and joins AT&T as the latest U.S. telco to aggressively pursue this market.

Meanwhile. AT&T shuffled management in it own India unit as part of a broader restructuring of its Asia-Pacific businesses.
