Just as our newsletter was running up against its deadline, Wisconsin-based independent telco TDS announced a commercial roll-out of WiMAX services, including broadband data and VoIP in Madison, Wis. TDS vendor Alvarion called it the first commercial launch of WiMAX in North America with both VoIP and data as lead services.
