Telco Systems appoints Itzik Weinstein as CEO to grow company

Telco Systems has brought on Itzik Weinstein as its new CEO in an effort to expand its presence in the larger telecom industry.

A 20-year telecom industry veteran, Weinstein was best known as the President and CEO of ECtel, a telco revenue management solutions company. In addition, he served in various management positions at VocalTec, NetManage, KLA-Tencor Corp., Scitex Corp., and Intel.

In his new position Weinstein will report to Dr. Zvi Marom, CEO of Telco Systems' parent company BATM.

Interestingly, the appointment of Weinstein follows Telco Systems' acquisition of Ethernet over TDM vendor ANDA Networks. By acquiring ANDA Networks, Telco Systems' now has an enhanced portfolio that can not only target fiber-based, but now also copper-based enterprise and even wholesale wireless backhaul opportunities in both the U.S. and in international markets.
