Telcordia is beefing up its board of directors with the appointment of telecom industry veterans Garry K. McGuire as non-executive Chairman of the Board of Directors and Patrick Severson as a new board member.
McGuire, who has been a member of Telcordia's board since 2006, is best known as Avaya's former CFO and VP of corporate development. Prior to his tenure at Avaya, McGuire was the president and CEO of the former Williams Communications Solutions and President of Nortel Communications Systems, Inc.
Severson also brings a wealth of telecom financial knowledge to Telcordia's board. Currently Severson serves managing director of Technology, Media and Telecommunications at Warburg Pincus, where he focuses on software and healthcare technology investments.
Before coming to Warburg Pincus, Severson served as a consultant covering the media and technology industries for both Booz- Allen & Hamilton and Price Waterhouse.
Patrick Severson is a managing director of Technology, Media and Telecommunications at private equity firm Warburg Pincus, where he focuses on software and healthcare technology investments. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Severson was a consultant with Booz‑Allen & Hamilton and Price Waterhouse, following the media and technology industries.
