Spain's Telefonica SA doesn't look to be slowing the pace on its aggressive international expansion. Prolific international moves fueled strong earnings for the holding group recently, and just this week there are reports Telefonica is looking to grow its 5% stake in China Netcom Group, operator of China's second largest wireline carrier, to about 9.9%. Also, Telefonica's O2 unit is reportedly looking to acquire wireline and broadband assets in Ireland.
