Who: Norwegian telco Telenor
Vitals: The firm was founded as a telegraph company in 1855 before adopting telephone technology in the 1880s.
Why you should care: Like many telcos, Telenor has seen wireline decline, recently posting a 3 percent drop. However, the company has become the seventh largest mobile carrier in the world by rapidly expanding beyond its traditional borders. Telenor is also embroiled in a lawsuit with a Russian partner over Ukraine holdings.
