TesLA energizes multi-vendor IP network testing

Test vendor Ixia announced that it has formed the IP Test Lab Automation Alliance with several other vendors. The alliance will support the creation of an open, multi-vendor automated test framework that will help smooth testing processes for carriers once they get IP gear from a number of different vendors into their own labs. The move is a sign that carriers' deployment of IP equipment has progressed to the point where multiple vendors are crossing paths in carrier labs and testing is getting more complicated. Other vendors in the group include Mu Dynamics, Apcon, Codenomicon, Fanfar, QualiSystems and Shunra.
