TierPoint names ex-Suddenlink execs Meduski, McMillin to CFO and COO roles

TierPoint has tapped ex-Suddenlink executives Mary Meduski as president and CFO and Tom McMillin as president and COO, starting a new chapter for the cloud and data center provider.

The two executives will also serve in the same executive positions with TierPoint's management company, Cequel III.

Before coming to TierPoint, Meduski and McMillin served as the executive vice president and CFO, and EVP and COO, respectively, of Suddenlink Communications. French telecom conglomerate Altice completed its acquisition of Suddenlink on Monday.

Meduski and McMillin will join fellow Suddenlink exec Jerry Kent, who now serves as TierPoint's chairman and CEO.

The new management team has been formed at what is a transitional time for TierPoint. TierPoint completed two key acquisitions: its $575 million acquisition of Windstream's data center assets and AlteredScale's data center.

By acquiring Windstream's data center assets, TierPoint immediately will scale its data center business with additional centers around the United States. TierPoint and Windstream established a reciprocal relationship allowing each company to sell its products and services to their respective customers.
