TNS consolidates data platforms over XO's network

Transaction Network Services (TNS) has crafted a contract to use XO Communications' (OTC BB: XOHO.OB) Ethernet Hub Service.

TNS, a provider of data networking services to high profile customers in the retail, banking, financial services and telecommunications industries, will leverage the Ethernet Hub Service to consolidate its data networking services as it expands its service reach.

Already an XO customer, the Ethernet Hub Service will also enable TNA "to grow its business, reach new customers and streamline cost and equipment needs throughout the U.S." And because the Ethernet Hub service leverages XO's wide fiber footprint and alternative delivery methods including Ethernet over Copper (EoC), TNS will be able to achieve its network expansion goals without the need to build out their own network facilities.

Launched in 2007, XO's wholesale Ethernet Hub Service is a point to multipoint service that reaches about four million U.S. businesses via a mix of its fiber and over 400 Ethernet over Copper (EoC)-enabled local service offices (LSOs).
