TW Telecom moves to Q1 profit

Business services carrier TW Telecom reported first-quarter earnings that included $2.9 million in net income, up from a net loss of $4.8 million for the same quarter last year. The company also reported a 5 percent increase in revenue to $297.6 million, from $282.6 million last year.

Although revenue and net income were up, TW Telecom also reported higher turnover of customer accounts, both sequentially and year-over-year, though it attributed some of that loss to narrowing its focus toward larger customer accounts.
