Verizon and cable MSOs get cozy among cable's top 2012 stories

Verizon Wireless (NYSE: VZ) made an unprecedented move by partnering with four of the largest cable MSOs--Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA), Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC), Cox Communications and Bright House Networks--in a series of joint marketing promotions including discounts on premium networks and DVR rentals.
