Verizon has made enterprise-specific upgrades to its cloud-calling platform, Virtual Communications Express (VCE), including SD-WAN connectivity.

Verizon has boosted its VCE solution by delivering it over the telco's global voice-over-IP (VoIP) service, reinforced with hosted on premise SD-WAN connectivity. The new employee collaboration and productivity solution is now available across Asia, Europe and the U.S.

By combining the solution with its VoIP service, Verizon said VCE customers could achieve cost savings by sharing trunk capacity across all of their sites. Verizon customers can make long distance calls to any Verizon Wireless device, or call other VoIP users via the Wireless Connected VoIP and VoIP Enterprise routing features, for no additional charge.
