Verizon Business (NYSE: VZ) is giving multinational corporations (MNCs) that have a presence in Asia Pacific more options by bringing its service to four additional countries.
Now available in Australia, Hong Kong, India and Singapore, the service expansion will offer multisite business customers a number of unified communications and collaboration (UC&C) applications.
As part of this expansion, customers who currently use Verizon's VoIP IP Enterprise Routing (VIPER) feature will be able to gain access to high-definition voice and video capabilities.
Because the new high definition solutions are offered as a cloud-based IP-to-IP routing option, customers can eliminate additional per minute domestic and international charges on calls between other VIPER-enabled customer locations.
The VoIP expansion is part of the service provider's aggressive global network expansion effort into Asia Pacific and other international regions such as Europe and Latin America.
These international expansion efforts continue to pay off. In Q3 2011, Verizon reported that international business sales were up 9.8 percent year over year with strong gains in cloud services, data center services, Ethernet and VoIP.
