Verizon tech under investigation for allegedly cutting Cablevision fiber line

Cable operators and telcos have never had the greatest relationship, but now comes a report that a Verizon (NYSE: VZ) technician allegedly cut one of Cablevision's (NYSE: CVC) underground fiber lines serving Long Island. According to an article in FierceCable that cites a story in The New York Post, surveillance footage revealed that the cable was cut by Verizon employee Vincent Gargano. This cable cut left about 6,000 of Cablevision's Optimum customers without service. Read more
